Crown Prince Haakon visited Made in Norway companies in Østfold
5. March 2026
During an event hosted by Innovation Norway, H.R.H. Crown Prince Haakon visited Norsk Dun in Mysen to learn more about Norwegian manufacturing and the Made in Norway origin mark. As one of five Norwegian companies using the Made in Norway mark, Paxster was invited to take part. Together, we had the opportunity to present our products, share our stories – and talk about what Norwegian production means to us. For Paxster, it was a great pleasure to showcase one of our electric vehicles and explain how we develop and manufacture vehicles in Sarpsborg for use both in Norway and internationally.

During the visit, the Crown Prince also met representatives from Rottefella, Jøtul, Muzziball and Woodling — companies representing industries ranging from technology and mobility to sport, design and manufacturing. What unites us all is that we develop products in Norway and actively use the Made in Norway origin mark to highlight quality, innovation and origin. For Paxster, this is about more than a label. It is about demonstrating that it is still possible to develop and manufacture advanced products in Norway – while contributing to jobs, technology development and local value creation.

Innovation and reuse in practice
When the Crown Prince visited our stand, we had the opportunity to talk about how we work with innovation in practice. We spoke about how Paxster develops electric utility vehicles for efficient and emission-free distribution, but also about our work with circular solutions – including the reuse of vehicles and components to extend product lifetimes and reduce resource consumption. This reflects the same thinking behind Made in Norway: developing solutions with high quality, long lifespans and responsible production.

An important symbol
The Made in Norway origin mark was established to make it easier to identify products and services with Norwegian origin, and to strengthen Norway’s position internationally. For Paxster, the mark is a clear signal of where we come from – and what we stand for. It represents the pride of Norwegian engineering, sustainable technology and production close to the market.
An inspiring day
The visit to Norsk Dun became an inspiring day filled with great conversations about innovation, sustainability and Norwegian value creation. We are grateful that the Crown Prince took the time to meet us.
