Soup, soap and salvation
The Salvation Army is a global, Christian movement with an extensive social commitment. In over 130 countries they offer “soup, soap and salvation” to meet people’s physical, mental and spiritual needs. They do so much for our community and the choice was easy when we sat down to decide who we would give this Paxster to. The official takeover took place January 2022. Every weekend great soldiers are driving around in Sarpsborg to deliver warm soup to people who need it. Until now, they have used a large diesel van and the leader of the Salvation Army in Sarpsborg, Eyfinn Joensen, is excited that they now can go green with a Paxster. “To drive around in this diesel monster with only a small amount of food is really unnecessary”, he says. “And the Paxster is much more maneuverable too!”
Test drive with a big smile
Joensen came to visit us to do a test drive and discuss possibilities on how the Paxster can contribute to their work. By spreading joy and thankfulness during his visit, he made us realize that we have made the right decision by giving them a sustainable vehicle to be used in their important work for our community.
